YUNA ANTWERP

Today is my sister Phoenix's 17th birthday. We went to a Vietnamese restaurant that also does sushi and other Japanese goodies. The place is called YUNA. It is close to the tourist area but it is still a bit hidden, making for a lovely setting with a view of the cathedral when sitting outside. Yuna's sister restaurant Yadan is situated on the Oude Koornmarkt which is a street with lots of great restaurants, but it can be packed with tourists. Yadan has now been converted into an All you can eat concept, but still maintains their quality to a certain degree. I discovered Yuna a couple of years ago when I was looking for a place that served Pho, Vietnamese beef noodle soup. When I went there with a friend, we quickly discovered they had wonderful sushi and were given a huge serving of Dragon Eyes and Prawn Tempura Roll.
Since then I have been there a few more times, and even considered working there because I loved the atmosphere and the food so much. I do still think it is a lovely place and like going there occasionally. It isn't too expensive, and wouldn't be considered overpriced, but sushi is quite expensive in Belgium in general. I would recommend getting the Pho Bo as a starter and sharing the Sushi Boat and warm Red Dragon or Dragon Eyes (also comes with the boat).
